“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
(3 John 1:2 NKJV)
Rest now my dear
You have been through hell and high water
Rest now. Recuperate. Rejuvenate
You have just had an emotional crash
I know the show must go on; so you pick yourself up & keep going
When you ought to check yourself into emotional A&E
Rest now my dear
It’s imperative you get yourself back
Who is this angry, dissatisfied victim?
Who is this person hiding but putting up a front?
Surely, that’s not you
Shock & trauma will do that to you – suppress you while another emerges in your place
Rest now my dear
I know, I know: ‘Go hard or home’ and all that jazz
Let them go hard, you go home
Because you’re no good to anyone carrying on with unhealed wounds
Wounds must be treated, hurts must be healed
Life will not pass you by; you are resting not quitting
You will come back like you never left; but for now, you must rest
Rest now my dear
Rest and evaluate
Rest and pray
Rest so God can speak His truth into your soul to tear down the lies
Rest so the precious word of God can soothe your tormented mind
Rest so you can get a new perspective
Rest so your tattered self image can be rebuilt
Rest so you can forgive
Rest. Play. Laugh
Rest. See a therapist
Rest. Get some Sozo ministry
Rest and learn vulnerability again
Rest and ask God how you got here
Rest so you can learn the lessons and forget the details
Rest so you can make sure you never find yourself here again
Rest now my dear
Come and rest.
For when you arise, YOU WILL MOVE MOUNTAINS.
